Introduction to WasteSorted Schools
Learn about the WasteSorted Schools program and complete your first step towards accreditation by completing the Introduction to WasteSorted Schools online professional learning module.
This module takes approximately one hour to complete. It is divided into sections with a short quiz at the end of each section. You will receive a certificate upon completion that can be used towards professional learning.
We encourage more than one representative from each school to complete the professional learning together. Teachers, principals, registrars, cleaners, gardeners, canteen managers, parents/guardians, members of the Parents and Friends association or all other school members are welcome.
Topic workshops and webinars
Workshops and webinars are held in both metropolitan and regional areas. Topics include:
- grant planning
- WasteSorted School gardens
- composting
- worm farming
- waste-free lunches
- single-use plastic
- the container deposit scheme (Containers for Change).
Workshops and webinars are free, and we offer teacher relief payments where possible.
