The Infinity Awards provide public recognition and encouragement to individuals, business, local/regional government and State Government agencies and community organisations that demonstrate innovation and commitment to reducing waste and increasing re-use and recycling.
Awarded every year at a special celebratory function, winners for each of the six categories and the two highly commended recipients are recognised and honoured for their outstanding work.
Members of the Authority, together with the Minister for Environment and other dignitaries, pay tribute to work that plays a major role in advancing better waste management.
The awards also support the Waste Strategy's strategic objective 5, to acknowledge the success of individuals and organisations that assist with the aims and principles of the Strategy.
