The Community and Industry Engagement program (CIEP), was launched today by the Minister for Environment, Albert Jacobs.
It will provide funding towards the development and implementation of waste management projects and initiatives that promote the diversion of waste from landfill.
Eligible organisations include industry, local governments, State Government, regional councils, peak industry organisations, research and educational organisations and community groups.
The program will support organisations that enhance industry and community engagement in Waste Authority programs or deliver education activities that support the implementation of the Waste Authority’s Business Plan 2016–17.
Up to $690,000 funding is offered through two streams.
