School inspiration

Mullaloo beach PS

After attending a WasteSorted Schools worshop, teachers from Mullaloo Beach PS  left feeling inspired. They decided to take action to reduce the plastic waste being sent to landfill from their school. Using the knowledge they had gained at the workshop they created a beeswax wrap  learning activity that  was  incorporated into their Science Week celebrations.

WasteSorted audit

A waste audit is a fun learning activity and research tool, which is used to find out the types and amounts of waste produced by your school. Students collect waste from the general waste bins and sort it into specific categories to see what waste is going to landfill.

You can book your schools 2023 waste audit now. This activity is offered to schools in the Perth metro areas as well as Kalgoorlie and in some areas in the Kimberley.
