The Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery Strategy 2030 builds on Western Australia’s previous waste strategy Creating the Right Environment, which was introduced in 2012 and achieved significant improvements in recycling, reducing waste generation, diverting construction and demolition waste, and better managing commercial and industrial waste.
