The Minister for the Environment is inviting expressions of interest for two Member positions to the Waste Authority board – a unique opportunity to influence Western Australia’s waste strategy and help create a cleaner, greener future.
As a member of the Waste Authority, you will:
- Lead the way in implementing the Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery Strategy 2030
- Advise and collaborate with the Minister, CEO and key stakeholders on innovative solutions for waste avoidance and resource recovery
- Shape policy and programs that make a real impact on sustainability
- Help WA achieve its ambitious waste reduction goals
We’re looking for individuals with skills, experience, and knowledge in areas such as:
- Sustainability and circular economy
- Waste services
- Waste avoidance and resource recovery
- Environmental policy and community engagement

Positions to the Waste Authority board are made in accordance with Part 2 of the Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery Act 2007.
Please note that a person appointed as a member of the Waste Authority cannot also be employed under part 3 of the Public Sector Management Act 1994.
