Attitude and Behaviour Research 2013

Colmar Brunton Social Research was commissioned by the Waste Authority to conduct a detailed look into community perceptions and behaviours around waste management and recycling in Western Australia. The Waste Strategy requires data to identify key messages, target audiences, areas requiring prioritisation and valuable intelligence to inform implementation of the Strategy.

One of five Strategic objectives is to “communicate messages for behaviour change and promote its adoption, and acknowledge the successes of individuals and organisations that act in accord with the aims and principles in the Strategy and assist in its implementation”.

This report presents the findings of the research.
