Free Coffee Cups a hit!
Do you work in the Perth CBD? Are you a regular coffee drinker, snatching a brew on your way to work, or get regular take-aways for the office?
On World Environment Day, 5th June the Waste Authority and the City of Perth provided free "KeepCups®" to get the message across about daily consumption habits and lowering the amount of waste we generate.
If you were one of the people who received a cup and made a commitment to use it instead of a disposable one, then you set a good example for others to follow.
Each coffee shop participating in the scheme is offering a different ongoing reward when using your new cup:
- Bar 138 - 138 Barrack St [Reward - $2 discount from 7-10am]
- Kiva Cafe - 40 St George’s Tce (entrance off Barrack) [Reward - 10%discount]
Remember to always use your new cup at every opportunity and encourage others to follow your example.
And now that you've begun your "less waste" journey, there are plenty of other resources for recycling at home and work on this website.
Remember, WA is "Too Good to Waste".
On behalf of the Waste Authority and the City of Perth, thanks for your support.
